I don't know if you are back. Nothing much to talk about. It
rained all weekend, hard driving rains. I kept trying to walk, because I
missed Thurs. and Friday, and finally I did get a walk in on Sunday, but
it was drizzling and I had to wear a hood from my coat to keep the rain
out of my eyes (I didn't have anything else except a rubber poncho, so I
removed the hood from my coat.) A good run of X-files should be
starting this next episode--it has been really built up in the t.v.
guides, etc. I was dysphoric (in a bad mood). Something
triggered me thinking about my mother and all that stuff with my sister,
and I wondered again about what I should do, in the face of the "bone"
she tossed my way to shut up, thinking I would grab it and run I guess.
I had a crazy dream about finding I only had an hour to get ready for an
exam in law school, because I didn't know the exam was scheduled.
(It's probably because I didn't do all my homework for the class I have
tonight and had to get up this morning and do it.) How was your
trip?
I imagine there were quite a few people who gathered as your family is
so extended. After sampling some of those dried meals in a cup
which Big Lots had, the ones from Canada and finding them all good, I
went back and bought tons of them (literally). The varieties are
lentils and rice, couscous and garbanzo beans, black bean soup,
minestrone, couscous and parmesan, split pea soup, wheat pilaf and
veges, etc. There were also lots of pasta choices, but I think the
grains and beans are more nutritious. I got a few pasta ones, but
not many. I'm either ready for lunches for the next few months
(with a piece of chicken or something though the grains make a quick
school night supper as well) OR I'm ready for when the world crashes due
to Y2K. (I actually have a small Y2K closet of things started, so
I added a few of the dried mixes to the pile--which is also doubling as
an "electricity out"/tornado or hurricane emergency supply closet.
Hope you are well and your trip was not overly tiresome. Elizabeth
