That does sound like a real downer about Julie coming to get the stuff.
I would have found it hard to watch. I don't have many long term
relationships to refer to and even hate to mention Fred (yech), but when
he lived with me, when he would get mad and while I was at work he would
come to my apartment and remove "his things." Once he took a
bookcase, and I came in and something in me sort of snapped so I
instantly built my OWN bookcase. He would take just enough stuff
to make the apartment look like he had moved out. Oh well.
Long time good riddance. Its hard to think of him as 65 now.
I guess I'm still struggling with you and Julie NOT being able to get
"it" back together. Part of me just cannot see giving all that up
that you had, your life together, your plans, etc. I find it hard
to imagine that "things" could be that bad. I don't remember much
of the weekend. Both The Practice and X-files were repeats I had
seen. I watched a tape of The Practice from last week. I
went out for my usual bagel on Sunday morning. I feel borderline
depressed right now. Did I tell you I had my annual review to
complete 2 years here--a 50 cent an hour raise (whoopee doo).
Trying real hard to watch what I eat so I can get my blood values down.
I can't recall recently what I've written, but for some reason, although
my total cholesterol was not that high, the "bad" cholesterol was quite
high--not good. I made some oat muffins and have been eating them.
Mainly though I tried to identify WHAT might be causing the problem,
because I only use skim milk, low fat cheese, and hardly ever eat beef,
etc. It could be I've been doing too much of those, but maybe
excursions to taco bell etc. have added up. I don't know.
Trying to "diet" only adds to my sense of feeling unhappy right now.
It rained yesterday and is raining today. Today is runoff election
for our mayor. There is a SLIM chance we might get rid of this
fascist who has been in for 20+ years.
