Having come from a strong Baptist family background I've had a lot of
bible study in my past. I know what you mean, the bible doesn't
always make sense. When I have pointed this out to the "believers"
their usual response is "you have to have faith". The best
definition of faith that I've have heard is faith is believing in
something that you know can't logically, rationally be true. The
book I was reading was a historical novel about Japan when it first
opened to western trade. I got about a third of the way through it
and got bored with it. I'm now reading a book by
Clive Cussler about discovery and recovery of shipwrecks. It's
a new thing for him, writing a non-fiction book for his thing in the
past was his "Dirk Pit" fiction series, adventure stories that always
had a shipwreck recovery theme. "Raise the Titanic" was the first.
They are quite entertaining, I've read most of them. Well I'll be
leaving early today and will be off until January 3. I will check
my mail every other day or so. Until later, Larry
