Nothing but e-mail trash in my box this morning. When Hotmail was
taken over by Microsoft a while back, I started getting spam mail, which
I never had before. I don't get alot, but I can see where if I did
not check my box for a week or so, it would really pile up. I get
about three messages over the weekend, usually one or two overnight.
I NEVER open any of them, just delete, although yesterday I deleted one
which I sort of thought I should look at. It was about a bike trip
through Colorado, but on reflection, that would probably be way beyond
my physical capacities anyway. A strange X-files, wasn't it?
I think I prefer the alien storylines. Last night I watched a show
I had taped, The Duel, about the gun duel between Aaron Burr, Vice
President, and Alexander Hamilton, who helped author the Constitution.
So strange, to have two men go out and level guns at each other.
Also, quite a shame, because Hamilton, who was killed, was apparently a
genius of sorts. Interestingly though, he was quite a pessimist,
and that was one of the reason he built checks and balances into the
U.S. government, but he was also very depressed at times about human
nature, to the point of suicide. I didn't make it to any movies
this weekend. Lately it takes a lot to get me to a movie.
Jeez--I saw an announcement about one of those sci fi movies coming
up--there was some show on the Sci Fi Channel about it--but I've already
forgotten the name. I think it may have black in the title though.
I expect a slow day today, but anyway I best quit writing and get to it.
