Your Thoughts Are
Hello Larry,
Do you get TCM on cable? A good older movie is supposed to be on
at 7 p.m. tonight (Saturday) called "Brief Encounter." I've never
seen it, but some reviews say it is a "must see." It is a
"romance" movie, but has been voted one of the best in some poles.
I just found that a local organization has organized some Mississippi
farmers, including cheesemakers, and for a subscription fee is
delivering weekly boxes of fresh items, mostly vegetables though, to
several cities in MS on different days of the week. No delivery is
being made to my town, but one is being made to a town about a 30 minute
drive away. The first delivery (you have to sign up for four
weeks) near me is scheduled next Wednesday (this coming Wednesday)
though, which is the same day I want my Blue Apron box to come! I
thought about signing up anyway, BUT I'm not sure I can deal with a box
of fresh vegetables a week. It would be the same trap I fall into
when going out to buy groceries--using things up before they spoil, or
cooking up huge batches of stuff which take forever to eat, and get
highly repetitive.
Well, I have a Scandinavian detective mystery I plan to read this
weekend, as it is due back at the library on Thursday, and I can't renew
it as it is a "new book." New books the library doesn't allow to
be renewed, so you get two weeks and that's it.
