The year started out like previous years with Uncle Bob calling Mom on their common birthday January 16th.  I was doing better in school than previous years making A’s and B’s in Algebra and Physics, C’s with an occasional B in English and American History, and all A’s in the no brainer Electronics.  It started out much as expected but 1969 would become a pivotal year for me, changing my thoughts, shaping my future.
