Lee's army at Appomattox, Va. She stated she had married Mr. Dyess, Jan 7, 1867 (by Parson Bradley) at the home of her father, near Sparta, Bienville Parish, LA She and her husband had lived near Pleasant Hill, LA Mr. Dyess had been a cripple for 32 years and died at age 80.

In 1876, he m. Rosenna Pullen. They moved to Bienville Parish where the 1880 census shows them with one child (there could have been others later).
