Obediah Zacheriah Mixon, farmer, Confederate soldier, son of Benjamin H. and Elizabeth Wall Mixon, was b. in Bienville Parish, LA, Jun 22, 1822, d. Oct 6, 1904. Obediah served in “C” Company of the Second Mississippi Inf. as a corporal.  About 1844, he was m. to Mary Vienna Page, b. Jan 31, 1827, d. Mar 8, 1886, dau. of John W. and Tabith Page. Both bur. Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery, Friendship, LA

Charles Jabez Mixon, son of Benjamin H. and Elizabeth Walls Mixon, was b. in Washington Parish, LA, in 1824, d. Jan 21, 1863 in the Confederate Army at the Battle of Vicksburg, 1863, bur. Cedar Hill Cemetery, Vicksburg, Warren County, MS. In 1856 he m. Sarah Ann McDowell, b. Aug 22, 1837, d. Feb 20, 1908.  After Charles died in the Civil War, Sarah m. (2) Jul 26, 1866 to Edward McMillian Ellis, b. Mar 24, 1831, d. Mar 24, 1908.  Sarah and Edward Ellis are bur. Jenkins Springs Cemetery, Early, Brown County, TX.
