Rozille (Rozilla) May Mixon, dau. of Obed Z. and Mary Vienna Page Mixon, was b. May 16, 1866, d. Jul 27, 1949 in Bienville Parish, LA, m. Sep 20, 1885, William Buckhanan Shively - b. Sep 9, 1856, d. Nov 5, 1930, son of Amos (1830 – 1894) and Sarah A. Malone (1831 - 1891) Shively. Mr. Shively had been married previously to Henrietta Hodges by whom he had two children.  Both bur. Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery, Friendship, LA. Following are children of Mr. Shively and Rozillie May Mixon Shively.

5230 George Winston Shively - b. Feb 20, 1898, d. Aug 25, 1950, was an oil operator and broker, m. Hattie Sue Collins, living in Houston.

6733 Medrith Shively - b. Aug 10, 1924 (a Beauty Queen at Lamar High School, also at Baylor University). While in college she met and married Lester ("Buddy") Gatewood, an outstanding football player at Baylor, later played for the Green Bay Packers. Mr. Gatewood died from a heart attack.

5232 Lena Shively - b. Mar 23, 1905 is a retired schooltaacher, now lives next door to her sister EULA in lake Charles, LA, m. (1) Edd D. Sweeny, a Clerk of the Court. After his death she m. Howard Stratton. No issue.

5233 Lera Shively - b. Mar 23, 1905 (Twin to Lena) also schoolteacher, m. May 16, 1926, Jesse Harvey s. of James Elbert and Fannie Vails Harvey. Jesse was an oil field worker for some years, later operated a retail grocery. He is a Deacon at the Friendship Baptist Church.

5234 Marilyn Maxine Harvey - b. Aug 17, 1927, BA and MA, LA Tech., teacher for 15 years, and in 1973 was awarded "Outstanding Teacher of America", m. Lawrence Screven Pinckard, Jr. b. Jul 8, 1920, graduate of Colfax High School, and NW State U. with BS in Business. He is son of L. S. Pinckard, Sr. and his wife, Bettie Oden Pinckard (dau. of Henry G, Oden, Tax Assessor of Arcadia, La). Screven is a merchant, - owns and operates stores at Jonesboro, Friendship and Ringgold. He is Chairman of the Board of Deacons, Baptist Church at Friendship.

Sup”t, Friendship Baptist Church, Manager of Pinckard Grocery at Friendship, Buyer for the Economy Store at Ringgold. Married Sandra Hall - b. Feb 22, 1947, dau. of Herold and Evelyn Anderson Hall of Friendship. (The couple is expecting a child in April, 1977).

6752 Linda Shively - b. Aug 23, 1940 is a Computer Instructor, m. Tom Player of Houston, TX. No children.

(However, Mr. Player had been married previously, and had children by that marriage).
