Robert Moore Mixson, son of John Hampton and Martha Boyleston Mixson, was b. in Barnwell County, SC, Sep 14, 1854, d. Mar, 4, 1931, bur. Williston Cemetery, Williston, SC, "Colonel" Mixson, as he was generally known, was, at one time, President of the SC Cotton Association (See "History of South Carolina" by Yates Snowden, Vol. 4, p. 231, published 1920). About 1880, Col. Mixson was m. to Sarah D. Loud, b. Feb 16, 1852, d. Aug 10, 1929, bur. Williston Cemetery, Williston, SC, dau. of Philologus Hawkins and Sarah Elizabeth Williams Loud.
