During the 1930's MISS ADA MIXON of Marianna, AR, a
descendant of the above, made a research study of the Mixon family, -
made a trip to England, and with the help of a researcher there, found
some very valuable and interesting information on the family. From her
conclusion, the line came to America from Kent County, England. Records
were found concerning Gooden Mixon, a ropemaker, and of Robert Mixon and
his widow, property they owned and an administration of. same. Her
position May be well taken, for Micah Mixon, father of above Samuel, had
a brother named Samuel, who in turn had a son named Samuel Gooden Mixon.
