Wesley Munson Mixon, physician, s. of Samuel and Clarissa Stone Mixon, was b. in Lincoln County, TN in 1815, d. before 1880 in Marianna, Lee County, AR. He m. (1) Sarah Owen of Lowndes County, MS May 14, 1846. She was b. Oct 11, 1815 d. Mar 1, 1874, bur. Cedar Heights Cemetery, Marianna, Lee County, AR. Their house was in Tippah County, Miss, where they are shown in 1850 and 1860 censuses. Mrs. Mixon had died probably by the time the family moved to Arkansas after the Civil War.

He married (2) Mrs. Frances ("Fanny") Elizabeth Keeble, b. abt 1837, a widow, and she is listed as head of the household in the 1880 census, Lee County, AR. Children

1273 Ada Mixon - b. 1867, d. 1949, bur. Cedar Heights Cemetery, Marianna, AR,  Did not marry. For some years she held a secretarial position in Washington, D.C., and in the early 1930's she spent a lot of time, effort, and money on Mixon family research (particularly on her forefather, Samuel Mixon's lines) and made a trip to England and had further research work done. She visited Chatham, Kent County, England where one Mixon family lived in1650. She compiled a booklet on her findings, which is on file in the Congressional Library in Washington, D.C. Her information is the chief source of that given herein on her forefather, Samuel Mixon. Some census records have been drawn on also.
