James F. D. Mixon, farmer, soldier, member of Company "B", 1st. FL Infantry, Spanish American War, was b. in AL, 1871, son of James and Mary M. Mixon, died at Geneva, AL, 1938. About 1888 he m. Josie Reese, b. July. 28, 1861, died in Georgia in 1928.

3968 William Melvin Mixon - b. Jul 3, 1881, d. Aug 28, 1966 at: his home in Enterprise He married Lillie V. Adkins, b. Jun 17, 1895, d. May 7, 1971, dau. of John and Martha Adkins. Mrs. Mixon still lives in the family home at Enterprise and says she knows very little about her husband's people, other than his father had married very young (about 17 or 18 years of age), and that her husband had one or two sisters living in Georgia. She had records of his father's service in the Spanish American War. Both bur. Enterprise City Cemetery, Enterprise, Coffee County, AL.  Children:

On Aug 17, 1958 he m. at Thomasville, GA, Mary Ann Garner, b. Jul 4, 1935, dau, of Ethan Otis and Elizabeth Jane Alderman Garner. She is a graduate of Mercer University (S.A.) and of Southern Baptist Seminary (M.R.E.).
