On Jan 12, 1866, he m. Mozella (Millie) Barron, b. Jan 7, 1850, d. Nov 12, 1922, bur. Cox Cemetery, Bruceville, TX, dau. of Capt. Thomas Hudson and Mary Shelton Barron. She was the first white child born in Waco. She died in 1922.

James C. Mixson, s. of Simeon and Margaret Campbell Mixson, was b. in MS, 1834. Family records show nothing else about him. However, the marriage records of Falls County, TX (where some of the Mixson married) show that "Charlie" Mixson was married to Mahala Kirk, Sep 25, 1870. This could be he.
