Miles Franklin Mixson, s. of Miles R. and Laura Horton Mixson, was b. in Hampton County, SC, b. Nov 18, 1877, d. Dec 1, 1928. From death certificate he died from gunshot wounds of arm, chest and abdomen, died in 15 minutes, shot by E M Carrery.

Note: From the death certificate and from WWI registration Miles Franklin Mixson was the son of Miles R. Mixson.  John Leslie Mixson in his Mixon-Mixson Family books list this Miles Franklin Mixon with wife Minnie as the son of Miles R. Mixson (#3121) and age from census records seem to confirm this.  There is also another Miles Mixson in Peeples, Hampton county at the same time with wife Lura Ann Crosby but census records indicate he was born abt 1871 (see 19196 below).
