On 19, 1921 he m. at New Orleans, LA, Nell Brennan, b. Dec 2, 1896 at New Orleans, LA, d. Feb 6, 1985, dau. of John A. and Susan McCloskey Brennan. Mrs. Mixon graduated from Newcomb College with B. S. degree. Dr. Mixon was a graduate of Tulane University where he got his M. D. degree, after which the family settled in Pilchard. A good man and a fine physician, he was always active in civic affairs, and was one of live original men that participated in getting the city of Prichard incorporated.   Both bur. Pine Crest Cemetery, Mobile, Mobile County, AL.
