Amos Mixon, s. of Margaret C. Mixon and <unk>, was b. Oct 29, 1865, d. Jan 14, 1952, In Jan 1888 he, m. Emma Jane Hughes, b. Aug 8, 1871 at Ozark, Dale County, AL, d. Dec 6, 1963 at Taylor, AL, dau. of George Washington Hughes (1843 - 1938) and Mary Frances Peacock Hughes (1850 - 1936). Mrs. Dorothy Lucile Mixon Pushee has sent in the following information on the family of which she is a descendant. Both bur. Headland Methodist Cemetery, Headland, Henry County, AL. 

Note: Emma Jane Hughes is sister to Amos’s brother David wife Nancy Hughes.
