James Franklin "Frank" Mixson, industrial executive, son of Millard F. and Earle Phifer Mixson, was b, at Tuscaloosa, AL, b. Sep 22, 1914, d. Mar 8, 2020. A. University of AL graduate, he became connected with one of the large paper manufacturing companies, and has been a general manager of one of the plants for a number of years. He m. (1) Marie Beckham.  b. Aug. 22, , 1917, d. May 8, 1949, bur. Krebs Cemetery, Pascagoula, M , dau. of Tom and Elizabeth Olson Beckham.

Frank Mixson and his wife Marie were in an auto accident in May of 1949.  Marie was thrown through the front window of the car and suffered severe brain injuries and died at the hospital a few days later. Frank was not injured.  Mrs. Mixson was active in the PTA at the Ed Mayo School who placed a plaque under the bill system in the school in her honor.  The Chronicle Star, May 13, 1949.
