Note: There is no clear evidence that this William Mixon is the son of Edward and Frances Mixon but the 1870 census lists Dooly, GA, E J age 38, wife Jane-32, children: John-9, William-7, Thomas-5 which puts Edwards’s son William at the correct age and locaton.  Larry Mixson 2017
