1932 - I was born January 16 on a cold winter day at the home of my grandparents, Ruby and Charles Schwander in a small town called Diamond Springs in Allegan County, Michigan. The closest town now is Dorr, Michigan. My mother is Waive Cary Schwander Junior (called Mike by all of her relatives) and my father is Fred John Junior (spelled Junion by all of the other relatives in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin). Mom was 19 years old when she had me.
