Peter Yuma and wife

1938 I was six years old and started first grade in Grand Rapids. Mom and Dad became Christians in February and started taking the family to Wyoming Street Gospel Tabernacle with Rev. Peter Ypma as the pastor. I remember well the church services there. Daddy always had hard candy in his pocket to keep us quiet during the services. I remember one Christmas program and all of us girls had on beautiful new dresses for the program we were in.
