1974 January 1st after their honeymoon on a cruise to the Bahamas, Brenda and Tom moved to Louisville for Tom to finish seminary. Brenda did some substitute teaching before she got a full time job working in an office at the Children's Hospital. Larry dropped out of school to work full time. David was still at home and going to classes at Santa Fe and then to Camp Pinewood in the summer. He got his AA degree from Santa Fe this year.

We spent two weeks at Silver Glen Springs in the Ocala National Forest. Betty and Billy went with us for the first three days, then Brenda and Tom came over for three days. David got home from camp and came over and Larry spent one day with us. After we got back we took Beth and Mom to Disney World and Sea World. We spent three days at Crescent Beach at Easter time with Brenda and Tom who were visiting.

At Christmas Morris, David, Beth and I went to Louisville to visit Brenda and Tom. Tom's parents, Tom and Marian also were there. Their apartment was so small that Brenda got us bedrooms in the boys dormitory. It was very, very cold the whole time we were there.

This year we bought a 2 year old 98 blue Oldsmobile and I loved it. It was the best and nicest car we'd ever had. I felt so "ritzy" going to the beauty shop, getting my hair fixed and then go get in my beautiful car. We kept it for 10 years.
