Subject: End of Day
I don't have much new to add as I've written today already, but I just
read and printed out your messages from today, and have a few minutes to
spare before leaving. I don't want to go to class tonight. I
found myself wishing we didn't even have a Spring Break because it
totally breaks the momentum. One of my problems is that I usually
get tired of a course before it's over, and I'm very tired of contracts
and now find it hard to resume. I tried to study at lunch, but
could not get into it.
I looked back through your old notes and found out what ATF stood for.
I had forgotten.
Dumbarton Oaks. I seem to recall something called the Dumbarton
Oaks Treaty or Meeting or something? But I can't recall more than
that.
Regarding the time change, I've been going ahead and getting up early at
5:30 when I wake up and then going to bed "early" in order to prepare
for the time change as the Spring one always hits me as difficult.
I had to set my alarm to get up at 6:00 today which is earlier than I
need to, but I want to try accomplishing more in the mornings, as I
accomplish little after my 9:30 classes end. Starting soon I will
have M, Tues, Wed. classes, which while necessary, is not something I'm
cheery about. I'm basically a morning person, I believe.
I recall the VW "incident." I was always chagrined that men seemed
to pick up on doing things with cars that women didn't seem to pick up
on, and I really wanted to learn all I could. I do little with
cars now though. I do add my own oil, but I don't change it.
With my 82 VW I was pretty much into it, changing the oil myself and
everything. I think I lost heart because when I moved to AL the
car was immaculate.
Then some total jerk ruined the back end running into me when I was at a
red light. I replaced the lenses, but when the insurance money came in,
I needed it for school and didn't get the fender fixed or the bumper.
Retrospectively that was a big mistake, however, soon thereafter a semi
trailer ran me off the road (literally) and dented the left side.
Then later a jerk backed into me in the parking lot and crunched the
other side. That's AL drivers. All in all I collected the
price of the car by people running into me, but the thing is I loved the
car. Now it disheartens me. I suppose I should let it go, or
have it hauled away, but haven't separated yet.
Did you ever hear from Sean? Elizabeth
