I think I'll leave about two to go home and study and relax some before
the final. Not much else is happening. I talked with a
friend in law school. We both just want it over. I've sort
of been trying to follow the Clinton thing. It seems to have
switched again to where people say he may really be impeached. If
so, then there would have to be a vote to remove him from office.
The news reports I've seen seem to think it may happen. Elizabeth
The ”Clinton thing” was that it came out the past January that 22 year old Monica Lewinsky, a white house intern, had sexual encounters with President Bill Clinton on nine occasions from November 1995 to March 1997. Clinton initially denied it, but Lewinsky produced a dress with “stains” on it, the FBI tested it and found DNA evidence that it was a match for Clinton. I had to wonder why she would keep such a dress and not have it cleaned, also why Clinton was such a bad shot that he got it on her dress in the first place. Investigations were held, grand jury testimony given, the House of Representatives voted to issue two Articles of Impeachment against him which was followed by a 21-day trial in the Senate. Clinton was acquitted on both counts as neither received the necessary two-thirds majority vote of the senators present.
