Subject: RE: Ears and more ears
I just got back from the ear doctor for another hearing test, no change,
which is good. He was concerned there might have been some nerve
damage in which case the test this morning would have shown it getting
worse. He says that he expects the hole should heal up by itself
and I'm scheduled to go back in 5 weeks for a checkup. If it
doesn't he said he could do a skin graft to fix it. They would
take the skin from under the scalp somewhere. My insurance is
pretty good, it is a PPO, using one of their doctors makes all doctor's
visits $10. There is a $250 deductible for other stuff, with
Julie's eye work we will hit that pretty soon. I have some money
taken out pre-tax in a flex spending plan which covers the other
expenses.
Decongestants are a mixed blessing, I take them when I get head cold and
they help with the congestion but the side effects are not always good.
The dryness is expected by sometimes they make me edgy and make it hard
to sleep.
I looks like the imaging project for Cincinnati may get started again
soon which is good. Otherwise work is really slow.
Larry
The ear did heal and my hearing pretty much returned to normal in a couple of months.
