Subject: Distraction
Distraction sounds good. I've not been able to read nearly as much as
usual. Last semester I read quite a bit, but I only had two courses. I
may look for it in the used book store during break. My prof was still
sick last night. She taught half the night then gave up. I came home and
rebelled--it was about 9--and went to bed early and read that detective
book I'm reading involving the computer game. Sorry I can't remember the
title. I was asleep by ten, but this morning still did not want to get
up. Right--I drive extremely careful, but the Boulevard is a crap shoot.
There must be five or more accidents a day on it, some pretty serious,
but mostly people running into the back of you, or you into them. The
speed limit is 55 and you can be moving that and some yo-yo makes a
right turn right onto the boulevard in front of you. I've been driving
even more carefully since the "trial." I think the ticket for an illegal
tag--actually it would be for an illegally switched tag--is about 25.00.
But then AL just passed a law that you have to have your registration
with you, so that's another 25.00 if you don't. The staff at the tag
office said the paper work on an abandoned auto is "awful." Hopefully I
will get the booklet to explain it all. I looked up the "law" but it was
not specific enough. I think I'm a little depressed this week, but I
know it is PMS. My appetite soars, I gain weight, feel "fatter" and
miserable. I'm surprised you read as much as you do because you seem so
active otherwise, with structured activities such as yoga and r-ball.
You probably spend as much time doing that during the week as I do in
class. I wonder if your colds are really allergies. I've been told
people don't really get colds that frequently, and what might seem like
a cold is really an allergy. Well, I didn't pay close attention to when
you wrote your message--maybe you are home today, or was it yesterday.

PMS, oh god did she have to go and say that. PMS happens for older women, she’s not that old, I thought. Let me see, I was 47, she was three years older, that would make her 50. Fifty is not old right? I wanted to remember her as the beautiful, tall, thin, long brown hair girl I knew in my youth.
