Subject: Interesting Article
I just read an interesting article in the online NYT about a man who may
have cracked the origins of the latest
Melissa virus. What was interesting is that he says his
interest in computers got started when he was in high school and went to
night classes with his father on computers--guess where--Gainesville,
Florida. I think that's what you said once as well, that you went
with your father to a class. He is 45.
His name is Richard Smith and he is now president of Phar Lap Software
Company. Apparently also he was the one who discovered that
"fingerprint" which was recently in the news. Elizabeth
She is referring to the first computer class I took with my Dad in Fortran programming back in 1970. See story First Computer Course.
