Subject: Time Change
I don't have much to write about. I hate the time change. I
never adjust to this one. Before it occurs I am waking up
"naturally" at 6:00 a.m. and loving it, as it is so pretty and the birds
are singing. That becomes "too late" when the time changes and so
I have to start an alarm. I begin to feel ill by the second day
because I am forcing my body to "wake up." Today I have a
headache. I went ahead and had some lunch in the cafeteria because
last night I got home so late from class I didn't get up early enough to
make anything for breakfast and I didn't feel like a dehydrated soup.
Maybe people who always use an alarm to wake up don't take it so hard,
but I hardly ever have to use an alarm until daylight savings time
starts. The professor threw a lot of material at us last night for
Monday's final, so I had a hard time getting to sleep. I have a
weird final schedule as I have one next Monday, then the next one is the
next Monday and then Wed. of that week.
Its because electives take the final the last day of class. The
one I'm MOST fearing is on Wednesday and it is last. I hate that
because the other finals are "intruding" even though they will be
"easier." I've reflected on some things the last week or so and I
MAY slow back down in my law school quest and only do two courses a
semester instead of three.
I think I will enjoy the process much more, as three is SO burdensome.
It gets me to where I can't enjoy classes because I have too much to do;
I can't enjoy work because I feel pressed about my undone classwork, and
also I don't have any spare money as it all goes to tuition. I
have a definite plan to stay here five years so I will be vested in the
retirement plan (I would then be eligible for a pension, although it
would be quite small--still I'm not throwing it away). So, in a
sense there is no real reason for me to rush through and try and finish
law school in three years (slightly over) which it was it normally
takes. I can let it slow down some. Also, I KEEP hoping the
ABA accreditation will reach the provisional state. If it
does--such is in the planning--I can take my law degree to ANY state and
not be confined to this one. I can actually go to any state with
it now, but only a few will let me take the bar there, unless I took
MORE classes (something called an LLW which is a Master's in Law).
I'm not going to do that.
Well, are you downtown yet on your newest project? Did you ever
look that guy up in the yearbook. This turned out to be a long
note, but I'm not in a good mood. Elizabeth
