Subject: Busy
Work has been real busy and crazy the past few days. I was to go
to Cincinnati for the kickoff meeting last Thursday and Friday but ONLY
if the contract was in place. Well then amended the contract the
previous Friday so I had to make a bunch of changes to the proposal then
I found some errors so they had to amended the amendment on Tuesday so
finally I go everything ready on Wed. morning for our company cost
review then we had to fax it to the ATF and finally at 4:30 Wed.
afternoon the ATF said it as OK. So I did go to Cincinnati,
getting up at 4:30 am to get a 6:45am flight from National airport which
is a real pain for I live only 10 minutes from Dulles airport but the
ATF waited to the last minute to get tickets so I had to drive downtown,
about 30 minutes at 5:30 in the morning (normally it takes about 45min
or over an hour during rush hour). The trip went well and I got
all the information I needed on Thursday so I was able to change my
flight back to a noon flight and thus got to sleep in before getting to
the airport to return. I've been busy yesterday and today doing
initial paperwork to get the project started. I also seem to get a
mild cold, probably from the bad air on the airplane, so many people in
a small space with recirculated air. Saturday morning was spent
doing Cluster cleanup in which our townhouse cluster does every spring.
We mulch, clean, trim, sweep, pickup trash, etc. Afterwards is a
pot luck lunch so it is kinda nice to get to meet the neighbors. I
have to go downtown to an ATF status meeting this afternoon.
Usually our (PEC) director goes but he called me first thing this
morning and asked if I can go. Good luck on your last exam.
