Subject: Re: Hellacious Week
Ditto on insane Mondays, but lets just make it a hellacious week.
Medical students start their new semester at this time of the year, so
the new students just came on board. I don't think my increase in
work was related to that directly, but this is one of the most ferocious
weeks I've had in a LONG time. I recently half watched a t.v.
movie (stupid) about a "virus" (electronic) that came out of t.v. sets
and computers and attacked people (sorry I'm so vague). Anyway,
there was a blind computer person who wasn't attacked. The movie
showed him working at a computer. Also, there is an ad on t.v.
about IBM or something which has a blind programmer (?). So,
setting the equipment up should be interesting, but what is the expense
account? I mean, look at what Stephen Hawking has. I got
really sick last night and it scared me. It was my own fault.
I've been working on not eating anything after class, but just going to
bed with tea and my law notes or a book. Last night though I was
restless and about midnight felt really hungry so I got up and ate some
food. About 3:30 a.m. I woke up and thought I would die. It
scared me because I felt like I was going to pass out, but also throw up
and have diarrhea at the same time! I couldn't figure out what to
do. I didn't want to be in the bathroom where I might fall and hit
my head, but on the other hand....fortunately it passed very very
quickly--probably less than five minutes sum total. I couldn't
have taken it any longer. It is absolutely the most ILL feeling I
have had in ages. I thought you had one of those early computers,
but couldn't remember. Not much else happening. The TNT
movie really wasn't very good. I got disgruntled last night
because PBS is having a six part or so British mystery series, on Thurs.
night, which I really want to watch, but I have class. I
FAITHFULLY set my recorder Thursday morning (which I hardly ever
remember to do) BUT I forgot to put P.M. so I got two hours of morning
kids shows and missed the introduction. The main character is in
the equivalent of the British FBI or something, tracking serial killers,
etc. Well, work calls. Elizabeth
