Wow, a yoga bike trip. A little pricey, but I've found that to be
the case with such trips I've looked at. It has been very
interesting driving a "new car"--actually I don't know the year, but it
is a recent model. Its Bama crimson--the very popular crimson tide
football color around here. I noticed how quickly it can become
part of your ego. Its like a casing or part of the personality.
One thing about the (gosh see how little cars mean to me--I forgot the
name of the sporty car they loaned me)--but anyway one thing about
it--it has great acceleration and seems to float. I see now why
men with mid life crises get sports car--its like you take on a new
shell--a new persona. The inside is the pits---and in many many
ways my old car is more comfortable. I have great leg room and on
the left is a rubber pad where you can stretch your left leg out when
you drive and rest it. Also, in this new car, you have to step
over a high door casing to get in. Its very awkward to get in and
out of. But, I've had fun zooming around and the air conditioner
is out of this world--it freezes me on one. Most of all I love the
power windows--that is the one thing over time, with the oppressive heat
in Montgomery that I have really regretted now having. I can't let the
windows down to cool off the car then get them back up easily. I've
fantasized taking off on a trip in this car, because I am/was so mad. I
really have. I'm definitely not going to answer my phone today,
just let the voice mail do it--in case they call. I'm going to
drive the car back and forth to school for two days--then let them get
in touch with me. One reason, I did not want to go ahead and buy a
new car right now is that what I want to do is get a very high quality
car made to last--and one which I might be able to drive 10-15 years (or
more). I'm thinking Volvo for example or something in that line,
which is big bucks, but I only want to make the decision once.
