Well although I been traveling a bit lately it has not been to "cities"
of choice. Most of my travel has been to Cincinnati which is much
better than I had expected. The city is clean and I feel safe
wondering around down town (unlike DC). I did spend two days in
Austin but didn't get to see much of it. I had heard good things
about Austin but it is "Texas" and has that Tex/Mex feel which I didn't
care much for. On my trips to Colorado I went to Denver, Boulder
and Fort Collins. Denver sucks, reminded me much of Atlanta, big
city with high rise towers and sprawling suburbs. Fort Collins is
nice, a college town and reminded me much of Gainesville. It is in
the plains of Colorado, all flat. I always thought of Colorado as
being mountains, after all Denver is the "mile high city".
Actually from Denver to the east, north and south it is a big plain that
is mostly flat and few trees, quite boring. The mountains are
about 20 miles to the west and what a sight they are. I did really
like Bolder; it is at the base of the mountains so the mountains are
looming up right from the city. Bolder is a really neat town but I
understand that everyone wants to live there so the housing prices are
really high.
I hope the ABA accreditation happens for you, it sounds like it would
give you a lot more flexibility as to where you could practice.
NPR had a news bit about how the price of tuition had the smallest
increase this year than the past many years. Sounds like your
school is an exception. Sounds like a catch 22, you can't afford
to take more classes to Finnish earlier but on the other had the longer
you take the more it costs.
I'm looking forward to the weekend, nothing planned, just R&R.
Perhaps a bike ride.
