Subject: What's Up (or Down)
I'm tired, but thought I'd write just to get back in touch. My
first final was last night. It turned out to be much harder than I
expected, which ironically was better. That's hard to
explain--last time he gave an easy final in that the answer was
"simple," but he tested on just maybe three of countless issues that we
covered ALL year. To me, that made the test "hard" because if you
didn't happen to get one of the issues, you didn't have much margin for
error, as they counted so much a piece. I blew one and lost 10
points right off, which put me in the B range instantly. This time
the test was "harder" in that the question was more complex, but because
of that there were also more issues, probably 10 or so. That means
it doesn't hurt so much to miss one. Nevertheless, I'm wiped out,
because it was writing for three hours. When I went into the test I
figured I would be out very early, because last time there was little to
write. It could be he read some of our evaluations. I have one
more test Friday, that's on tax. I can't wait to get this
particular semester over. I want to watch videos, maybe try a new
recipe, find some woods. Do something--I don't know what about my
VW. I counted the days off and I have 23. It seems like
heaven, even though unless I make plans, I will be working.
