You are probably right about it being Louisiana, I probably got it mixed up. No I haven't read the book, probably won't, too depressing.  I forgot to look for the comment by the guard, don't remember what it was.  I usually do the opposite, I turn the heat down at night, I like it cool to sleep.  I put in one of those digital thermostats so it does it automatically and then warms up when I get up.  When it's cold and dry I run a humidifier all night, it really helps.  "Our Man Flynt", I saw that years ago, cold war secret agent movie as I recall.
