I didn’t respond to Elizabeth’s last long, rambling email for I got into my usual end of the year funk and spent my birthday, Christmas and New Year’s alone.

The following year, 2018,  I was very busy with work, selling my house in Virginia, moving to Florida, building a new house, and retiring and did not often think of her and was not sure I would ever hear from her again.
