Opening of the Heart
 
I seek to gain entrance to your heart
But the entrance I seek is not to be found
For entrance has to be given, freely, openly
Not to be forced, gained nor found

Rain
 
The sweet smell of the rain
Both disturbs and comforts me
The flash of lighting, the roll of thunder
Touches memories deep within me
As I stand naked in the rain
Exposed to the glory and the pain
As it runs down my body cleansing me
As I shiver in the cold
My thoughts warmth me
Thoughts of fond memories long past
Thoughts of wants and desires yet to be
I let the rain wash it all away
Only to be one with thee

Strong feelings, including love, turn people into fools.

 

AOL

In August AOL announced it was going to lay off 1,700 employees although less than 425 would be at the Dulles campus that had about 4,800 employees at the time. “Don’t worry.”, my boss said, our group was needed for the moving of the Time Warner computer systems to the AOL datacenters. By the end of the year AOL laid off 3,600 employees.
