A New Year

In January of 1981, after 25 years of making $59.20 a month payments, Mom and Dad paid off their house loan which Mom diligently recorded on the original 1959 payment schedule sheet. The original loan in 1959 was for $10,650 at 4.5%.  After 25 years with interest they paid a total of $17,758 for the house, Mom was happy, she would put that $59.20 a month to good use.
