Radford Mixon, s. of Samuel G. Mixon (Jr.) and his wife, Harriette Sims Mixon, was b. in Darlington County, SC, 1819, d. bef 1880. About 1845, he m. (1) Laura. The 1850 census shows them with the following children. Note: Some say his name as Redden Radford Mixon but 1850 census list just Radford. Also two daughters death certificates list his name as Radford.

In 1840, John Sansbury brought suit against John Sims on behalf of Radford Mixon and latter was given (by the court) a deed to 99 acres of land from Sims in settlement. (John Sims, brother to Harriette Sims Mixon. He was administrator of his father’s estate.)
