1993 Ford Explorer Sport

In the spring of 1983 I bought a brand new Ford Explorer Sport. I had not had a car of my own since 1989 when I sold my ’76 Chevy van before moving to Virginia.  Julie and I had been sharing the Volvo, which worked out quite well since we both worked together at ICL.  The Sport was the two-door model of the Explorer which suited me quite well and the four wheel drive came in handy on days that it snowed.  It was a great vehicle.
