I didn't get a chance to read my mail and write Monday because I was
busy all day working on finishing the laundry room. The laundry room is
in the basement and it was not finished so I been finishing the walls,
putting in a ceiling, new light and will paint today. It's been quite a
project but fun, I enjoy such work.
Not to worry, your writings haven't made me mad at you and I doubt that
they will. Even if they do, being a little mad at times is not such a
bad thing, (or at least my therapist says) and would not cause me to
stop writing. As for your tangents, I love them as they make conversing
with you more interesting. I appreciate you opening up and telling me
more about your relationship with Fred for it helps me to better
understand what happened between us during that time. You had mentioned
before that it had become abusive but I had no idea how so. He was a
real shit, pardon the language. It sounds like you struggled with the
relationship with him for some time and struggled to break free of it. I
hope in some way I might have helped you to do so.
I was glad to hear that you carried some feelings toward me all these
years even if those feelings included anger, confusion and perplexity. I
say glad because I carried such feelings with me and I wanted to believe
that there was more to the relationship we had than just such feelings
from me. Although it has been, what 15 years, since we last saw each
other you seem to me to be much closer than what one would expect for
such a time.
I know what you mean about the move Titanic, it was mainly an
adventure/love story film without much depth (ha, ha, unintentional
pun) but fun. I respect your "review" of The Sweet Hereafter (it has to
be better than some of the reviewers I read in the paper) and will check
to see if it is showing up here. We, Julie, Anne and I, all watched the
first part of Moby Dick and was somewhat disappointed. It did seem to
keep true to the story but seemed too artificial. I did record the
second half and probably will watch it.
Thank you for your explanation of briefs for I new law students studied
"cases" but never really understood what it all entailed. It sounds like
a lot of work and a lot of memorization. I was always good at learning
how to and theory but not remembering the details and facts. I would not
make a good lawyer. I always remembered how you could remember many
details and facts. When I first met you I would sometimes question you
as T could not believe you knew some fact or detail. After awhile when
you would surprise me with some bit of information I knew not to
question. You will make a good lawyer.
I'll send my job "paper" in separate message for it is quite long.
