I did get your two notes from Monday and sent back a reply. Let me know
if you didn't get it and I'll resend. I did not catch the X-files
references to Moby Dick at the time, interesting. Reston is a popular
place to live and is becoming a "hi-tech" area for DC. Reston is a
planned community and is quite beautiful with all its trees , buffer
zones, bike paths and lakes.
Planned communities can be a real pain though with all its rules. Home
owners can't change the colors of their house (outside) without special
permission. On the positive side it does keep the place looking nice.
Web-cams are quite interesting, there are several around the DC area,
mainly for traffic but there is on the top of the USA Today building
that looks out over downtown DC. When I first discovered webcams I spent
several days looking at them all over the world. A friend of mine has
two PC cameras and we hooked them up to our PCs and tried out video
conferencing over the net. It worked OK but was quite jerky. You could
move your head and it would take about one or two seconds for the other
person to see the change. Some day in the not to far future the web will
have enough bandwidth (speed) to make video phone calls a reality. I
noticed you changed your signature from EJ to Elizabeth a couple of
messages ago and wondered about the change. As long as I remember you
have signed your letters and notes EJ. I also wondered if the E stood
for Elisabeth?
I doubt that I will get back with a reply on Wednesday as I will be
staring my new job. Until, later,
Larry
