Subject: Half a Day Out
It's 10:30 our time, and I am leaving very soon to do some law school
errands until mid afternoon. I try to get my books early to save
money, as they run sometimes 80-100 dollars each, and the books for
Summer have just come out. I also need to return some books I
borrowed from a counselor about a year ago! I am barely scraping through
this April 15 tax crunch, in combination with my last payment for Spring
tuition and having to save for Summer tuition. I've spent some
time punching the calculator. My trip to Florida is going to have to be
"frugal." One reason for planning my trip now is that after
mid-April Florida hotel rates in that area are greatly reduced.
The reduction almost covers all my gas. One of my recent employers
really messed up my taxes with underpayment. I can't see paying it all
to the gov. so I'm trying to make an IRA maximum deduction to knock the
taxes down, but I still will owe.
I watched the rest of Moyers. I'm glad I did. I feel very
informed about the scientific and some of the human side of the drug
problem.
Have a good day at work. Elizabeth
