We had enough leftovers to not cook all week. We had made the
chocolate tofu cake before and it is great! It is more like a
cheese cake, the couscous is the crust and the chocolate/tofu is the
filling. You would not even know it had tofu in it if you weren't
told.
The name of the new arthritis drug is COX-2 which is a cyclo-oxgenase
inhibitor. It is being made by Monsoanto's Celebra for release in
2000. They say the good thing about it is that it does not
attack the stomach lining. As you said, taking part in a new drug
study is a mixed blessing, you get some money but it takes time and you
don't know if you are getting the drug or the placebo.
I have tried "formal" diets several times over the years I find they are
a real pain. What I find that works for me is just to eat less and
exercise more. The hard part is I get hungry. If I can
resist eating something I'll lose weight. I usually eat a 1/2
bagel and OJ in the morning at home. I often find that I get
hungry mid morning, especially after a racquetball night. What I
find works is that instead of hitting the junk food machine is to just
have a cup of hot cocoa and it will hold me till lunch.
I can't believe you are picking blackberries already. They are
just blooming up here and won't be ready to pick until late June.
We also have wild raspberries along the bike trail which I like to pick.
No it was not "Cats", I always wanted to see Cats, and it has been in DC
several times, but never was able to make it.
Yes we watched Millenium, it was on Friday night and our diner party was
Sat. night. It was really dorky, not a good as it has been.
I'll have to check out the King Authur stuff on the web.
