I had to go down to the ATF today so I hadn't time to write until now.
The ATF trip was interesting. I have this young 21yr old guy
working for me who has been maintaining the system we have at the ATF.
The ATF just implemented a new form and wanted the system to support the
new form so he has been working on modifying the system to handle it.
He had it mostly working but when a document of the new form type was
scanned into the system it got listed as a different form. After
he showed me the problem I had one of those "Ah" insights as to what was
wrong and it turned out to be right. He was impressed saying "wow,
it would have taken me days to figure that out". Even though I
been away from the debugging of system for several years I still seem to
have the knack.
I can't believe your Constitutional Law professor is real. What a
character. I surprised that he doesn't wear the Union flag instead
of the American flag. Other than the religious slant, he sounds
like an interesting professor. I'm a little surprised that you
would consider going to a school that is not accredited. It would
seems like being able to practice in any state would give you more
flexibility which would be desirable, unless you wanted to stay in
Alabama.
Mother's day would be an appropriate time to visit your mother but it
sounds like you need to explore more what your "resistance" is about.
I haven't been reading much lately other that my half dozen or so
magazines I get at home. I still am pretty much spending my spare
time at home playing with my new computer toys.
My friend who at work is not much of a lunch person. He usually
brings a peanut butter & jelly sandwich on white bread and a cup of
yogurt. I took him to lunch his first day of work and he had a
hard time finding something to eat because it was not plan enough.
Oh well, lunch gives me a chance to catch up on my work reading.
I haven't heard from Wendy. Not unexpected as she would have to
write something, give it to Sean and for him to send. Of course
although he said he printed my message and would give it to Wendy he may
have "forgot". I have been thinking about sending another message
but thought I would give it another week or so.
Yes I have often thought of going back to Gainesville (to live) but
doubt that I ever will. It is definitely a difficult job market as
so many students stick around. Also Julie says she could never
live that close to all my relatives. Oh well, it is still a nice
place to visit.
