Subject: Lull
Work seems to be in one of those lulls which was the same case when I
first started writing you. It's not that I want more work, but on
the other hand at times I'm getting a little stir crazy. Of
course, I could be studying, but I don't do that at work. Today
when I tried to go back into that database in Utah, I couldn't get in at
all. It was nice while it lasted, just an hour or two yesterday.
I'm a little disturbed today because I had my BP checked at an employee
awareness event the hospital had here and my BP was elevated. The
reason I am disturbed is that when I first interviewed here a little
physical was done and at that time my BP was elevated, but I totally
dismissed it, because I had been frantically running around all day, and
interviewing, and couldn't locate employee health, and was late for the
appointment. Also, my BP has never, never been elevated.
However, today, at this check, it was higher than back in November,
which is even more bizarre because I'm walking more, I feel really good
(except for the recent bout of fatigue), and my diet is almost as good
as it can get. Also, giving some benefit to the November reading, I had
consciously added a banana a day for potassium to my diet, which I have
been very faithful about. I'm really perplexed about the
elevation, except I've also had that intermittent sore throat I
mentioned to you once. Also, we have no family history of such.
So today, I turned in paperwork to TRY and get an appointment with that
physician I had selected, BUT she has to approve whether she will take
me as a patient.
Well, it's 4:30. Several of my friends are in crisis right
now--one in a divorce situation--another in a medical situation
involving abdominal pain that has been going on FOR WEEKS. I feel
great, except for the fatigue--but I'm the one with high BP. The
mysteries of life.
I'm thinking about Utah, seriously. Elizabeth (Mormons have
health life styles except for their religion).
