Sorry for the slow reply.  I have been at a training class for the past couple of days.  I originally thought it was scheduled for Wed-Fri but they changed it to Tuesday-Thurs.  I didn't find this out until the last minute on Monday so I didn't have time to mentioned it.  The class was on a new software package we are recommending for the ATF to do document scanning and OCR.  It looks great and after the training I feel even better about recommending it.
 
It also has been quite hot here, in the 90's although not stifling as the humidity isn't all that bad (that comes in July/Aug).  That is a bit unusual for this time of year, it should be in the upper 70's lower 80's.  We are supposed to be in the 70's for the holiday weekend so that sounds great.  We don't have any plans other that perhaps going on a bike ride down the C&O canal.  Julie has to work Saturday so that kinda cut out a three day weekend away.  We don't usually go anywhere for Memorial day anyway but seem to usually spend it just relaxing at home. 
 
We haven't really identified any "ideal" places to retire.  Julie and I have spent some time discussing the attributes we want in a place to retire, climate, cost of living, mountains, water, traffic, shopping, entertainment, culture, etc.  I tend to go for the small town type of place where Julie tends more towards the close to big city so we might end up in a small town close to big city.  With two persons it is more difficult, although we agree on most points we do have some differences.
