Subject: Catch up.
I haven't had time to respond to your last few messages due to taking
off Friday afternoon and Monday morning. We had a picture perfect
weekend. We arrived in Confluence Pennsylvania around five on
Friday and had a nice dinner. Confluence is where the Ohiopyle and
another river come together. We stayed at the Point B&B which is,
at it sounds, at the point of where the two rivers come together.
Our room overlooked one river in the front and the other in the back.
The weather all weekend was high around 80 and lows in the 50's, bright
blue sky and a slight breeze. Saturday we met the group in
Ohiopyle and rafted down the river, it was a lot of fun. Attached
is picture taken as we went down the first rapid. Sunday we went
to Falling Water, the house designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. It is
stunning, the house just merges with the surrounding hillside and the
creek with waterfall goes right under the house. Sunday afternoon
we did a 32 mile bike ride down the river trail. We drove
back on Monday and I got back to work around one. It was a real
adjustment to go from the mountains in the morning to work in the
afternoon.
I spent Friday morning and Monday afternoon at work redoing the schedule
and time estimates for the ATF project. Basically all the money
they got to do the project was spent before I started and they didn't
really even start the project. No one seems to know where the
money went. My estimate for completing the project was reasonably
close to the original estimate but because we are starting anew, the
project is costing twice as much, the original wasted money and then the
money spent to really do the project. My boss did a "Dilbert" on
me today, he took my estimate for completion and said "we only have this
much money and this much calendar time so that's what we will present as
what it will take."
How did you like the artichoke hearts? I've never tried frozen
ones.
Your experience with the email and the lawyer didn't sound good. I
had hoped that he would be able to help you without a lot of costs.
It looked like he was going to work out but it sounds like in the end he
is the typical "for money" lawyer. I hate to see you give up but
you can't do it without a lawyer and finding the right one with limited
funds is a real problem. What about you law school? Might someone
there be able to help?
I glad that you will have a good break from school in August, it sounds
like you'll need it by then. As hot as it is down there I would
think you would want to go to some place cooler.
Well, back to work.
