Subject: Neat Picture
Thanks for the picture. I can see the enjoyment and thrill on your
faces. However, I would have been that guy with the helmet on.
When I first tried to view the picture, all I thought I was getting was
a big arm and a paddle. Then as I moved around with the scroll
arrow it all came into view. The pictures must have to "load" or
something, as I recall from the last one as well, it took a while to
materialize. Is that your wife behind you--I'm so sorry but I'm
blanking--Oh yes Julie--behind you. Was this a guided excursion of
some sort by an organized group? Morbidly though, I just heard
about someone who was rafting with a group and the raft got overturned
by overhanging branches, and he wasn't found afterwards. I forget
where that was or why I remembered--he might have been a physician.
How do you like B & B's. I'm a little resistant to the feeling of
staying in someone's home, or it would sort of feel that way--as if I
wouldn't have real privacy, but you've mentioned staying at one once or
twice. Yes, cooler would be nicer--but we got it last night
finally--to such an extent that the air con went off. When I got
out of class, I could have used a sweater. Of course, it won't
last.
I just heard the S.W. is having a horrible heat wave. Maybe I'll pass on
the Grand Canyon.
I thought you said you used frozen a. hearts. They are a little
pricey (2.50 a box for the frozen package small size)--but anyway I
haven't cooked them yet anyway.
Interestingly-I have a 2k letter which I got along with yours, from that
lawyer--I'm having a strange reaction--I haven't read it--as if I'm
avoiding it--I was pretty "nasty"--no not really--perhaps sarcastic to
him--ALSO--it might be a BILL (that would be funny--HA HA, I'll send it
to my sister--he charges 150/hour and I'm sure he's spent that at least
once on me. Also, this whole thing is hard to swallow, and I am
still feeling anger at times, along with grief over my mother, the grief
triggered by small things--even shopping--or artichoke hearts--things in
small ways enjoyable that she will never experience again--or never did.
Well, I'll read his letter--although I hope it's not a nasty retort.
I'm sick of all this at some level.
Thanks again for the picture. Oh. Do you put your bikes in
the truck and take them. I was going to ask that about Washington
as well. Do you drive with the bikes, then bike? Elizabeth
