I spent part of any free time today looking through the web for any sort
of retreats or mini-vacations I could take the last week of August.
I couldn't i.d. anything which was frustrating. Even more
frustrating is that I don't know what I'm looking for, just hoping
something will leap out. Sierra has a three day weekend, hiking
and workshop coming up in Oct. It's at the place I may go to on my
own, if I can't find anything else--DeSoto State Park in N. AL.
Its the southern most tip of the Appalachians, with waterfalls and
canyons, caves, etc.
Otherwise, I'm in a rather funky mood, a combination of tiredness and
possibly boredness--but not boredness as much as I need a change from
this work and law school. Yesterday I had an interesting project
on whether people with asthma should scuba dive. It got me to
thinking again about taking up a hobby. Have you ever thought
about getting your pilot's license. I've wanted to for a long
time, but it rather frightens me.
Well, I'd like to read the NYT before I leave. It usually takes
about
15 minutes. Elizabeth
