We went to visit Julie's father in Delaware this past weekend.
Julie usually goes to see him every other month or so and I go about two
or three times a year. He had a freezer that he hasn't been using
so he said we could have it so I took off work around 2:30 on Friday and
went and rented a U-Haul trailer to bring the freezer home. We
often leave on Friday around 3pm to get around DC before rush hour
traffic. Well getting the trailer took longer than expected and we
hit rush hour traffic going around the beltway. It took us six
hours to get to her father's house, it usually takes only three.
Julie's father does not clean house at all so we usually spend hours
while there cleaning the bathroom, kitchen, refrig, etc. I also
fix things around the house, lights, pump on the fish pool, etc.
Have you tried St. John's Wart for you funk mood? Julie has found
it helps.
I finished an interesting cyberspace type of novel which was quite good.
I think it was called Random Noise.
The system acceptance last Friday went well and they accepted the system
for delivery. I had asked my boss several times last week about
shipping the system to the ATF and he said he would look into it.
At first they said just put in the back of my truck and take it down
myself but I said I wouldn't do that unless they put in writing that I
would not be held liable for any damage during the move. The
equipment is worth around $100,000 and I don't think my insurance would
cover it if something happened. Well Friday afternoon they said
ask the secretary to look into moving it. It was supposed to be
moved yesterday. Needless to say it has not been moved or even a
mover found. Oh well.
Started a new project for the ATF Revenue Center which again has some
document imaging but also they want to computerize their workflow
process. The Revenue Center is in Cincinnati so I will be going
there a couple of times for initial analysis and then could spend a few
weeks there next spring. Not my ideal place to spend time but it
keeps me employed.
till later.
